As a result of an increasing demand for our services, we are currently looking for new colleagues:
C-LEVEL SALES EXECUTIVE
What we offer in return
Our multidisciplinary environment offers versatile and challenging job opportunities. We have a flat organisational structure and our working conditions are in line with the market.
Position
SIG is expanding in the Netherlands, as well as in Europe. We are hiring experienced people who can support our expansion strategy. A network in the industry is vital. Currently we are expanding our team in The Netherlands, as well as in our Bern office (Switzerland).
As a trusted advisor to the board of our clients, we work in close partnership with the biggest organisations and IT projects in Europe. We collaborate with virtually all levels of the client organisation; from the board of directors to software engineers and everyone in between. Are you capable of being or becoming a serious consulting partner for our clients at executive level?
We straddle the dividing line between software engineering, quality management and vendor management. Do you feel you have enough clout and political insight to join together these three areas of expertise, or are you ambitious enough to develop this ability? Please contact me if so.
Skills
- executive presence, possibly with a relevant network of contacts
- academic qualification: preferably a degree in business administration with a technical background, or a degree in technical sciences with management or sales experience
- self-starter
- tenacious/patient
- fluent in Dutch and English is a prerequisite for the position in the Netherlands, for the international positions only local, native speaking people will be hired
- a clear perception of how sales processes should be conducted, and a hands on mentality to deliver business
We are not interested in pure product pushers or commodity sales, nor in people who _only_ want to maintain relationships. We are not interested in people who want to burn a huge budget while building a pipeline.
We are interested in people who have enough skills to become leaders of (parts of) our practice in the future.
Our multidisciplinary environment offers versatile and challenging job opportunities. We have a flat organisational structure and our working conditions are in line with the market.
Corporate information: the Software Improvement Group (SIG)
Organisations are completely at the mercy of their software systems. Business agility, competitive strength are often one-on-one related to control over the strategic software portfolio. From an independent position in the industry, SIG provides insight and analysis into the quality of software systems, aimed to bring our clients in control and improve agility, while reducing TCO and Risks.
With excellent client references, we make sure our clients gain and retain control of their IT landscape. We do so by combining state of the art source code analysis tooling and management consulting skills. Bit to boardroom.
Facts, not opinions
We provide impartial, objective, verifiable and quantitative assessments risks our clients might have in their corporate software systems. Our analysis software allows us to measure quality, to lay bare the underlying architecture and to assess the system.
We make quality transparent for everyone. Whether you have a brand new client portal or a 30-year-old mainframe system, or an SAP application. Whether you are a financial institution, a logistics provider, a government agency or a high-tech service provider.
We work for all major financial institutions in the Dutch market, central government, logistical. Our client base is expanding over Europe. Business is still booming.
Our newest innovation: Product Certification (developed with TÜV) is quickly developed into a market standard.

Corporate information: the Software Improvement Group (SIG)
These days, the IT of most organisations consists of a wide diversity of software systems. Typically, these systems are complex, written in different programming languages and have a long history of modifications. Classical software engineering methods and tools are sometimes insufficiently capable of effectively controlling the costs and quality of these systems.
A growing number of companies are beginning to realise the vital importance of the technical quality of their software systems. Furthermore, they are beginning to realise that they do not have a clear insight into that quality. That is when our services are called upon.
The Software Improvement Group is a highly specialised market research company that protracts and maps out the technical quality of the software systems of large companies based in the Netherlands and overseas. Our advanced software solutions are capable of measuring the complete source code of the systems. Our consultants bridge the gap between technology and business strategy. This enables us to have a direct impact on the way software is made, outsourced and maintained.
We are not an IT recruitment agency. All research is conducted in our office in Amsterdam. Our clients have extraordinarily systems, often combinations of highly advanced modern technologies with classic back-office technology systems. We give you the opportunity to make a direct impact on the technical policy of large companies.
