SIG crowned as Most Innovative ICT Vendor for 2010

On 2 March 2010, during the CIO Dinner Show at the Orangerie in Den Bosch, the TIM awards were presented to the most innovative CIO, the most innovative company, and the most innovative ICT supplier. SIG participated in the last category and convinced the jury of the quality of the innovative service: ‘Software Product Certification’.
SIG sees customers struggling with their suppliers about the quality of their software. The issue they are dealing with can best be explained as: “We demand the best quality in return for the investment we make for software development, but how can this be backed up in the contract? – There is a need for a neutral standard with respect to the quality of software.” With the Software Product Certification, SIG provides the IT industry with this neutral standard. Software systems are classified on a scale from 1 to 5 stars. Systems with three stars and above are eligible for certification. The software certificate is widely accepted in the market. Requests come in from all sectors: central government, IT suppliers, and financial institutions in Europe, the United States and India. More information on certification can be found at:

The Amsterdam Software Improvement Group (SIG) was appreciative of being selected for the uniqueness of their product: a "TÜV-certification" for software. SIG is not only unique for the well-thought out method it developed for evaluating software, but the collaboration established with a renowned institution such as TÜV makes the marketing plan complete. SIG and TÜV evaluate and rate software with one to five stars, just as has been the case with cars and restaurants for quite a while now.
